CCA uses insight to create an improved working environment


A department head threatened to lodge a wrongful discrimination complaint against an organization. Senior management asked CCA to assess the situation and develop recommendations for moving forward.


CCA’s organizational psychologist conducted a comprehensive assessment and found that the real problem was that the executive’s leadership style alienated colleagues. CCA designed a three-pronged solution that addressed all aspects of the situation. This intervention included executive coaching for the department head, mediation in a neutral environment, and implementation of strategic planning sessions to define mutual priorities.


CCA’s ability to see past the presenting problem and discern the larger issue enhanced the effectiveness of the leadership team. The at-risk executive was retained, and the conflict among senior management was converted into a positive dynamic.
